Townsville’s members enjoy an active year-round golfing calendar featuring competitive and social events.
Our men and women enter teams in their respective pennant competitions. Pennant competition is the pinnacle of interclub golf in the North Queensland and, with grades for all abilities, everyone can enjoy taking part.
Townsville’s Women’s Golf Group are very active in the community. This group supports many regional golf competitions, such as the Queensland Country Women’s Championships, billed as the largest event on the Queensland women’s golf calendar.
Because Townsville is a club with a long and rich history, a number of club competitions carry prestigious and long-standing trophies.
The club has a very amiable group of veteran golfers who spend much time out on the course enjoying competitions and social golf.
Membership of this group – The Townsville Veteran’s Golf Club (TVGC) – is open to financial members of Townsville Golf Club. The “Vets” tee off every Monday for a nine-hole tournament and there are nearest the pin shots and a run down.
Like the Vets, the rest of Townsville’s members are a naturally friendly and sociable bunch who enjoy each other’s company on and off the course.
Membership is currently available in all categories:
Full Member: Full golf course access, full playing rights, full voting rights.
Ruby Member: 6-day membership, Sunday- Friday.
Intermediate Member: Under 23 years of age.
Junior Member: Under 18 years of age.
Cadet Member: Under 13 years of age.
Fairway Rewards Membership: Available at a nominal rate which gives full use of the clubhouse and loyalty pricing on all products at the golf club.
